News and Updates from CGMC

CGMC continue to work on CORE skills for children's work and are currently recruiting new writing groups for the downloadable modules. In consultation with its members the new modules will be written ecumenically and piloted throughout the country. For more information on the developing work of CORE please contact secretary@cgmcontheweb.com

CGMC met in November to take a fresh look at 'Unfinished Business' which was a manifesto for change presented to the Churches in the early 90s. In an attempt to map the next 10 years, CGMC will go through a process of pinpointing where we all need to focus in order to ensure the ongoing growth of children's work in our churches. We were delighted to have Bob Fyffe, General Secretary of CTBI, chairing the discussions.

CONFERENCES

CGMC was well represented at the European Conference on Christian Education which takes place in Vienna in late January of 2007.

To launch our new publication - CORE - we hosted a conference in Nottingham in September 2006.
